I confirm that I have known Peter Thompson of the championship winning Meritus team for the past 10 years. Meritus has help to create and finance many of today’s Asian racing hero’s including Indian Narain Kartheyhan (Jordan F1), Takuma Sato (Honda F1) and more recently Ho Pin Tung and our own Chinese Star Marchy Lee.

The Automobile Association of Malaysia

The Automobile Association of Malaysia have issued an AAM International Entrant license for our national team ‘Meritus’ for the past 15 years and we commend Team Meritus on their success during the last three seasons participating in the GP 2 Asia Series. In particular the team’s wins and second place finish in the 2010 SP 2 Asia Series has generated huge local and regional interest and our Honorable Prime Minister has personally rewarded the team with his support.

The Automobile Association of Malaysia

MERITUS is the most successful team in the history of Malaysian Motorsport and the AAM is proud that the team is winning with an AAM team entrant license. The team has a history of European success and in 1996 MERITUS became a Malaysian brand. Under the management of Firhat Mokhzani the team has won 32 Asian motorsport titles, dominating the BMW Asia championship for the past six years, pioneering Asian motorsport development and investing in Malaysian champions.
