David grabs second win in FIA Formula 4 SEA Championship

SEPANG (Apr 7, 2019) - Frenchman Hadrian David secured his second win of the season-opening FIA Formula 4 SEA Championship with a convincing performance in Race 3 at the Sepang International Circuit this morning.David, winner of Race 1 yesterday, shot ahead in the fourth lap and held on for a comfortable win in a time of 20 minutes 09.336 seconds in the nine-lap race.

Swede win for Skaras in Race 2

Sepang (Apr 6, 2019) - Sweden's Emil Skaras won the rain-interrupted Race 2 of the FIA Formula 4 SEA Championship at the Sepang Circuit this evening.The wet conditions forced the race to be red-flagged on the seventh lap.Skaras, who was fastest in yesterday's official qualifying, clocked 16 minutes 25.820 seconds to claim victory.

Lyubov from Kazakhstan joins F4 SEA Ladies Class

Kazakhstan’s only female racer, Lyubov Ozeretskovskaya began her motorsport career in karting at age nine and won her first title two years later at the Kazakhstan Karting Championship. She has trained in Moscow since her 2014 Formula Russia debut, with her favourite tracking being the Kazan Ring in Russia. More recently, Lyubov has contested several one-off races in Formula 4 South East Asia during 2018 and 2019 with podium finishes in the ladies class.

F4SEA Welcomes Beshara Brothers from Bahrain

Abdallah Beshara is an up-and-coming Bahraini racing driver with a successful karting career to date looking to accelerate his progression in motorsport with a lifelong dream to become a professional racing driver. Very experienced kart racers, brothers Talal and Abdallah Beshara attended the Formula Gulf Academy in 2018, with Abdullah taking a brilliant second place in his first car race for a year. Abdalla has contested one-off events in F4 SEA championship.

International Win for Australian Josh Smith with F4SEA

Queenslander Joshua Smith, like most young racers, commenced his career in karting. He transitioned to Formula 4 Australia and contested most of the Formula 4 South East Asia in 2019 including rounds at Sepang and Buriram where he was consistently on the podium. In Buriram he took the event champion title. With amazing talent, this up-and-coming Australian racer has the support of his family and proved his international pedigree by winning in the F4 SEA.

South African Races F4SEA

The first South African to join the Formula 4 South Easy Asian championship, Shrien has built his race craft through his participation in the Rotax South Africa championship. In 2019 he won an award to participate in one scholarship event with the French F4 series. Having completed a 4-race event with F4 South East Asia, Shrien plans to continue progressing his F4 career and we hope he will join us in 2020.

Finnish Champ Finishes Second in F4SEA

Like his hero Michael Schumacher, 16-year-old Elias is determined to make F1 his career. The Finnish lad is lucky enough to attend a special motorsport school where he is allowed to race as much as possible, with full support from his family. Elias finished second in the 2019 F4 SEA Championship - just one point off the winner.

First Iraqi Tries F4 SEA

The first Iraqi Formula 4 driver, based in Jordan where he attends international school, Ali is another driver who must juggle education and racing. Akabi is managed by Hamza Dirhani - an ex-Meritus Formula BMW driver. His racecraft impressed the team during rounds 1 and 2 of the FIA F4 SEA 2019 championship, however school exams caused him to miss the following events and he had to retire from the championship after the fourth round to focus on his education.

Malaysian Muizz on track for F4SEA 2019

Malaysian hero, 16-year-old Muizzuddin Musyaffa Abdul Gafar emerged as the World Series Karting (WSK) champion back in 2014. Since then he has gone from strength to strength, joining the FIA F4 South East Asia championship in 2018 for two events. He was expected to be a Malaysian contender for the title in 2019. However his season did not go according to plan and while he won races and podiums, he only finished 3rd overall in the championship.

Swedish Champ Jumps to F4SEA

Emil Skaras is a karter who competes internationally for Sweden. In 2019 Emil used the Formula 4 SEA championship to transition from karting, however after one event he decided to step up to GT racing. He continued to compete in European karting as he joined the Lamborgini Trofeo series where he showed his talent. Without doubt, having won one race during his sole event with F4 SEA, he proved his outstanding racecraft and if he had completed the full series he would have been a serious championship contender.

Yoong to Contest F4SEA

Alister Yoong has participated in Formula 4 South East Asia events during 2017, 2018 and 2019 and has extensive experience in the FIA F4 car. He has proven his ability to win the FIA F4 championship by dominating a number of events over the years. This highly-motivated and ambitious young driver is supported by his father Alex Yoong.

F4 SEA Welcomes Malthe Jakobsen

Malthe Jakobsen was crowned Danish Formula 4 champion in the Jyllandsringen season finale in October 2019, and represented Denmark in the F4 segment of the inaugural Motorsport Games in November 2019.The teenager was a champion in junior karts in his home country, and finished 22nd in the CIK-FIA World Karting championship in 2017 before transitioning to single-seaters and participating in Danish and South East Asian F4 championships in 2019.

French Star Hadrian Joins F4 SEA

Hadrien David is one of the most promising young French motor sport drivers. Hadrien won many races in France in the Mini-Kart, Minime and Cadet categories, before shining internationally. In 2019, he won the FIA French Formula 4 Championship as well as contesting two events of Formula 4 South East Asia and taking 6 wins.

Irish Ace Joins 2019 F4 SEA

18-year-old Lucca Allen hails from Cork, Ireland where he is currently studying for his Leaving Certificate with motorsport featuring highly on his future career agenda. Lucca was a contender for the 2019 Motorsport Ireland Young Driver of the Year award. His performance and professionalism as he led the FIA F4 SEA 2019 championship was exemplary. Lucca plans to progress his career in Asia and hopes to join the F3 Asia series in 2020.
