France, Australia and Malaysia victorious in Sepang!

Formula 4 SEA – fuelled by Petron – 25 August 2019 A fantastic weekend at the Sepang International Circuit saw the F4 racers put on a display the likes we have come to expect for Formula 4. The 10-event 40-race championship stopped off at the Home of Malaysian Motorsport for the seventh event in the season and it was something to watch.

Australia Race Smith on top in race 28

A fantastic start saw 3 red streaks on our screen as Hadrian, Josh and Elias sped around turn 1 at the Sepang International Circuit for the 28th race! The procession filed through the first sequence of corners, with all of us wondering who would be the first to make a move.

Wet and wild race 27 sees Hadrian, Muizz and Shihab victorious!

It was a wet morning for race 27 here in the Sepang International Circuit. The reverse grid put Sharma on pole ahead of Thompson and Shoji. The Irishman went around the outside of Sneha through turn 1 as Hadrian and Shihab went three wide with Fred, who had found his way into third. The Frenchman took the outside line through the corner and for a second it looked like he didn’t carry enough speed, but then he dived up the inside of T2 and surged into third, with Fred in fourth and Shihab a close fifth.

Hadrian Victorious ahead of a Fierce Battle for Third in Race 25

Hadrian David led us down into turn 1 of race 25, the Frenchman keeping Josh and Elias behind him through the first sector. However, some contact between Elias and Josh allowed Lucca to find his way into third at the fourth corner. It wouldn’t stay that way for long, because the battle for third position was fierce.

Portugese rookie, Fred Peters, joins the fray

Fredrico Peters is a Portugese karter, and up-and-coming motorsport professional, backed by his father. A passionate motorsport fan, Fred participate in 4 events of the 2019 F4 SEA championship as his first transition from karting. His focus and professionalism will ensure that he will be a great championship title winner in 2020.

Thompson returns for a last hurrah

With experience in coaching young karters throughout Asia, Irishman Luke Thompson himself enjoys karting and racing as a hobby and has contested one-off events in Formula BMW Asia as well as the F4 SEA Championship with a second-place finish at the penultimate event of 2019. Currently working as team manager with Hitech.GP Formula 3 Asia and W-Series teams, 21-year-old Luke hopes to pursue a career in motorsport management.

Malaysia’s F4 SEA Winners Aim for Home Victory in the Face of Strong International Competition

Formula 4 SEA – fueled by Petron – 6 August 2019: The Malaysian tag team of Yoong and Musyaffa spoke strongly today about returning to glory at the seventh event, figuring their home advantage would give them the boost they need to top the podium.“I am very excited to return home to Malaysia.
