Elias Seppanen was in a class of his own when he blazed the track to take the first race of this week’s F4SEA at the Sepang International Circuit today.
After dominating free practice and then taking pole at the end of an exhilarating qualifying round, the Finn showed that he will be the man to beat as he raced to a spectacular finish in a time of 20 minutes 24.035 seconds.
Lucca Allen from Ireland was second with 20:26.648s as Shihab Al Habsi took third spot with 20:26.987s.
Seppanen said afterwards that he feels confident for this weekend and where he will be looking to maintain the momentum ahead of the three upcoming races on Sunday.
“I was quick today and I believe that I have found the perfect set up for Sunday,” said the 16-year-old Finnish national.
