BURIRAM (11th May 2019) – Irish driver Lucca Allen delivered a blistering performance as he worked his way through the grid in Race 2 today to secure his third victory in this season’s FIA Formula 4 SEA Championship – fueled by Petron – at the Buriram International Circuit.
Allen, from ninth position at the start, charged forward early and moved into the lead by the second lap. A collision on the first lap helped as he hung on until the chequered flag. Allen quickly opened up a gap and was four seconds ahead of Aussie Josh Smith at the end.
Smith, winner of one race in the previous round in Sepang, was second today with Finland’s Elias Seppanen coming in third after a superb drive from the last position on the grid at the start of the race.
There will be another race later this evening at 5pm (local Thai time).
