Isyraf Danish Mohd Ghazali was the only Malaysian to be crowned event champion in the inaugural FIA Formula 4 Southeast Asia Championship, and it was his goal to win the second season. The popular driver fulfilled his dream of racing alongside F1 at the final F1 Grand Prix of Malaysia in 2017 before going on to drive with Formula Masters Asia. 19-year-old Isyraf was a guest racer during the penultimate event of the F4 SEA 2019 championship.
As worldwide movement control orders relax, Formula 4 Southeast Asia will soon announce a shortened 2020 race calendar with all events to be staged at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. The official announcement is pending approval of the FIA and will be posted on the formula4.asia website and social media, and listed on FIA.com.
